No. I could understand how in this one particular instance you would want to be older so you can play, but we work on the honor system. Be an adult.
What does my registration fee include?
TeamSnap scheduling app, at least 6 games including playoffs, game ball, a cool tee (Pick Up leagues can buy a tee), unlimited laughs, and the opportunity to make new friends and the best summer memories.
What is not included with my registration fee?
Ump fees are not included. A team collection will be taken so you can pay the officials. Each team will provide half the fee. Approximate cost is $10 for the entire season.
When does the season run?
Women's runs for 6 weeks, mid June-end of July.
Co-ed runs 4 weeks in August.
Plan your vacation around these dates.
If I play in one town, can I play in another?
Yes. You just need to pay the fee and make sure you are registered for both towns.
Can I play co-ed and womens?
Yes, Womens' league runs 6 weeks mid June -end of July. Co-ed runs in August. There is no overlap.
Can I ask to be on a specific team or with a specific player?
Yes. Just note that on your registration.
What times do we play?
There is a one hour commitment, anytime from 6-8pm, Monday-Friday.
What should I wear on my feet?
Definitely not high heels! They will get ruined. Some people wear cleats. Some wear sneakers.
What if I can't make a game?
Just let your captain know and mark your availability on TeamSnap, our scheduling app.
What commitment is required of me?
You are guaranteed at least 6 games, one hour a week. You may have to play twice in some cases if we have rain outs or re-schedules. Some teams do practice. This is optional. If you can't make a game, it's ok! I know your life does not revolve around kickball although it should!
Do I need to be a resident?
No.
Do I need previous playing experience?
No.
Do you have something for me if I am a little more competitive?
Yes. We have the Mary Lou Retton league in the Martinsville Women 40+ league.
How will I know if the game is rained out and will it be made up?
Announcements will be made by 4:00pm on game day via our Facebook page, your team captain, and updates to our website.
Do you need umps?
Yes! No previous officiating experience necessary. Must be 18 or older. Pay is $36 per game. Please email us nicole@notintheface.org
Is there pegging?
Not in the women's league. Hence the name, "Not in the face". We do allow pegging in the co-ed leagues, hence their name "In Your Face".
Can I start a league in my town?

Can fans come watch?
Yes! We absolutely encourage your friends and family to come cheer you on! Many do!
Can I get a refund if something changes and I can no longer play?
You can only get a full refund if requested before the Tax Deadline, typically April 15.
Can I alter my game tee?
Yes! Feel free to personalize! Many teams do!
What is Let's Get Physical(LGP)?
Let's Get Physical (LGP) is a 4 week outdoor pre-season training session geared towards women over 40 led by Denel Bingel. The sessions runs mid May-Min June in Bridgewater. LGP will get you ready for kickball! For more info and cost, contact nicole@notintheface.org
When does registration open?
Registration for all teams/towns opens Superbowl Sunday and closes on Tax Day, April 15 except for Co-ed, which closes on June 15.
What is the difference between Not In The Face and In Your Face?
Not In The Face (NITF) is for women. Minimum age is 40 and older except for Clinton, where the age requirement is 35 and older. There is no pegging allowed. Pegging is when you hit someone with the ball to get them out.
In Your Face (IYF) is co-ed. Minimum age is 30. Pegging is allowed.
